I'm sorry and I don't mean to "rain on your parade". Definitely happy for you. But I did read where you posted that you HAD sent in an expedite request with your original petition and it was denied? Is this correct?

Makes me want to find a reason to send in an expedite request and have it "denied" and see if I receive my NOA2 a few days later.

Just saying. Makes you think.

Edit: I saw another topic that you had posted in here in VJ.

I did not send in an expedite request until the 19th. My case was already with an adjudicator by then.. Just a miracle from God!

not a miracle from God because God would of made you wait in line just like the rest of us!

sounds like the work of the Devil to me!

Ouch dude, his dad's dying and he was hoping to have him at the wedding. Have a little compassion maybe?

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Initially filed for K1 visa - Feb 23 2012

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we've abandoned this application

We married on Aug 24, 2013 in a small ceremony in MA

We'll be applying for a CR1 / IR1 visa as soon as we are able

Thank you very much! This allows us to have my father here at the wedding hopefully. Still have steps to go but hoping it goes fast for us and for everyone waiting!

Hope my baby gets to *meet* his father eventually. He's already missed his birth, and his entire first year. And that cuts no ice with the system. Just saying they don't have sensitivity to family issues for everybody, only for some.

You really think I don't pray every day over this? Every minute?

Good luck.

I'm sure you do! Prayer is a wonderful thing and in Gods timing things happen. Even when we don't understand why He is still doing good things. He will be there soon!!! Everyday that passes is another day closer to when you will be a family! Thanks for your reply.
