Congratulations! I hope your dad does get to be at your wedding. Regardless of what others are saying, I believe in prayer and know it works. Sometimes it isn´t the answer we want, but in this case it was! Great news for you!

Congratulations on getting approved but here are my thoughts on this situation:

1) I don't think USCIS is expediting petitions from Haiti because if they were doing so, my petition, for example, would have been approved long time ago but instead, now that I'm about to hit the 5 months target, they are telling mell that it may take 7-9 months ... It is frustrating!!!

2) I believe your request for an expedition probably was approved because otherwise you are certainly lucky to get an approval in 10 days while others have filed the same petition and have been waiting for months.

3) it may be an error from USCIS. It has happened to me and at least a month had passed by before they noticed the error and continued processing my application. I kept calling NVC after I received the NOA2 and they were telling me just one thing: "we haven't received your petition. We will investigate." Then I got this email/text notification saying my case was updated and in my mailbox TWO letters saying that my case was re-opened then an RFE.

I sincerely hope it is not an error in your case and I'm happy for you. Congrats again :)

I have seen other Haiti cases in recent months that have been approved in 10-14 days and my understanding is that there is some fast tracking as far as Haiti is concerned. Maybe not all cases, but there have been a few at least.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Congrats for your approval. Sometimes VSC or CSC do things like this and I am very glad to the couples that get lucky.

However, I totally dislike your tittle. Maybe you were too excited and didnt think while writing. I have some news for you: For everybody else " THE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK". We and i dont mean just me but the majority have to wait for long periods of time. We all have special circumstances, in other cases really troublesome situations and we cant get approve for expedite request. Anyway, I wish you the best and next time remember that not everybody is going to have your experience. That's all
