UK Long birth certificate

Hi,

I'm currently gathering up all the required documents for when my i-130 is approved (fingers crossed) and need to order a long birth certificate. Ive looked and its possible to order them online at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ however it does not state whether the birth certificate that will be issued will be long or short. Does anybody know what certificate they will post out?

Hi read on the website that the only issue the full birth certificate and not the short version so I ordered it.

We ordered my husband's (he is British) recently. I don't know what

the short and long actually look like .... but it has so much information

on it, I'm guessing it's long. But there are several more folks here from

the UK that are %110 more knowledgable than I am (Honey_Crumpet where are

you? ). I wish you the best of luck on your journey though!

The short ones you only get when the birth is registered. They are the ones you get for free. The long ones always have to be paid for. So it will be a long one you will get. The short ones are pretty much useless anyway since almost everything requires the long one.
