you can put someone on ignore, but it's not like fb where you can block. You'll still see their stuff in quoted replies, etc. They can still see you all the time. If someone is giving you problems, I would report it.

Julianna you beat me to her!!!

anyone know how to block another user here?

gorgeous

to put someone on ignore:

-copy their name using your mouse copy feature (usually drag over their name to highlight it, right click and select copy) - make sure you get all of their name. if more than one person, maybe open up several tabs to each member's profile to make it easier. (keep in mind that the visitors to a profile is updated, so you may want to log off and log back in as invisible so they don't see you visited their profile) - or you can just open up a tab to a thread conversation where you know that person posted.

-then in the upper right, click just to the right of your name on the little down arrow and a drop down menu will appear.

-click on "my settings"

-you'll have to use the tabs along the top now to select "profile"

-on the bottom of that tab there is "managed ignored users" - click on that.

-in the block "Add a new user to your list" you'll paste in the names (right click and select paste) the one you want to ignore. repeat to add names as necessary.

-you check which feature you want - Ignore Personal Conversations or Ignore Posts, or both.

-click save changes and you're done.

i suggest to members to enable friends only when approved and enable profile comments only when approved. both of those are under the profile tab too, Change Profile Information. this prevents people from putting nasty comments on your profile - they are visible only to you until you approve them, only after being approved are they seen by others. and also, not everyone can just make you their friend without a decision by you. in some cases, you may not want to be associated with someone.

LMAO, it isn;t you...it's some knucklehead following me around, even following me in here. Not quite sure why some people feel the need to put their nose where it doesn;t belong. Hopefully they will see this and get the hint before I do report them whistling.gif

With the temperatures being in the 100's these past few days, I found myself thinking of Ramadan and all the different foods to prepare for hubby in the weeks to come. I made the Harira soup last year but wasn't exactly happy with the taste. I decided to try to remake the soup last week with hopes of having a good and tasty soup for Ramadan as hubby loves this soup so much. After making the new revised soup, it was a hit and I have made it twice since last week and hubby just finished the last bowl and said please make sure you keep this recipe as it's wonderful. Today, I stood in the kitchen cutting up lamb into cubes and freezing baggie size portions for the soup. We still have lamb from the last Eid Al-Adha as we still have about 30 lbs left from 200lbs. I told hubby we have to try to eat the lamb before this Eid Al-Adha as we need the room for the next lamb. I also wanted him to try some new American sweets like lemon meringue squares as he loves anything lemon. I made sellou last year and hmmm this was really good but expensive to make but I will try to have this done a few days before Ramadan starts. Today, I am trying a new cookie recipe, it's semolina cookies, they look yummy and anything with almonds, hubby likes. Chebakia is so delicious, but I just cannot get it right, it falls apart when frying and the texture is just not right, but I may try just one more time soon.

So that's my day, just sitting around making out recipes. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday.

sounds like a great day to me. I love looking for Arabic recipes. I will be in Jordan for Ramadan and I plan to get some recipes from my mother in law. My plans have changed and I'm returning home a few days later than I thought, the airline called and had to change my intinerary. It has been so hot here too, but they say tomorrow it will cool down a bit. Just made some homemade sweet iced tea and sitting here enjoying it. I am making a big Sunday dinner for the kids because I will be away for 3 weeks. I always wonder how good their Dad feeds them while I'm away.

Speaking of Ramadan foods...does anyone have a good recipe for kunafa nabulsi? I'm looking for one that someone has made and it turned out well. It's one of my favorite desserts. My husband and I went to a pastry shop in Dearborn yesterday morning for coffee and we had kunafa....yum! I'd love to make it at home.

I've gotten hooked on McDonald's sweet tea, I have it at least three times a week if not more. Woohoo some extra days in Jordan, that's wonderful. Awww LOL at your remarks regarding your ex feeding your kids. My little girl is having the time of her life do some scubbing diving in Peurto Rico for a few weeks with her dad and then they are off to another great destination in August.

After sitting around half the day, we decided to head out and do some fishing lol go figure from cooking to fishing, We caught so much fish and gave them to a little girl who was carrying around her net to collect fish for her and her dad. She was adorable as they had been fishing since 7:30 am and didn't have much fish to take home as her mom was sick. It's amazing how that little deed of giving fish to her made us feel.

Anyways, we're back home and I'm making Moroccan barley soup which is yummy too. I also love looking up recipes and watching Moroccans on you tube cook as well. I hope you have an awesome time in Jordan and get your hubby home safe with you. Hope to talk soon before ya leave.
