Hi everyone,

I've just begun filling out my I-129f and g-325a to bring my Moroccan fiance to the US.

The process seemed pretty clear cut at first, but now I've begun to sweat about messing up tiny details!

My first question: My fiance knows the years that his parents were born, but not the day or month. Should we put 01/01 as the day and month, or simply leave that out and just write in the year?

Second question: When listing both my own and my fiance's employers, do we have to write the names of our bosses or just the name of the company we worked for?

third question: For the fiance letter of intent, will it look sketchy if mine and my fiance's are exactly the same (except, of course, for our names)? I am using the example form posted on this website as my guide, and it seems very direct and to the point so I'm guessing it wouldn't be a problem, but I am still a little concerned. Also, when writing the USCIS address on this form do I write P.O. Box number of the Dallas Lockbox? That is where I am supposed to send my petition according uscis.gov site.

I can't begin to tell you all how much I appreciate this website and all the time, care, and effort so many people across the globe put in to help other! Keep it up, and thanks a bunch!

1st q: Try to get exact date of fiance's parents' birth date. Just in case it becomes an issue. Mine did not know the DAY, but only the month and year. So I made up a "day" for each of his parents. They were born in the sahara desert.

2nd q: I recall only writing down the employers. There was something in there that would list "employer contact info" - that's when I included my boss's info.

3rd q: As for the letter of intent, try some colorful/creative writing. It will reflect on his fiance interview when the CO looks over his papers and see it does not match his English proficiency.

I hope this helps.

My first question: My fiance knows the years that his parents were born, but not the day or month. Should we put 01/01 as the day and month, or simply leave that out and just write in the year? Some parents in Morocco don't have proper birth dates recorded because they were born when the French were in Morocco. If that is the case, you can put 01/01, which is what we did.

third question: For the fiance letter of intent, will it look sketchy if mine and my fiance's are exactly the same (except, of course, for our names)? I am using the example form posted on this website as my guide, and it seems very direct and to the point so I'm guessing it wouldn't be a problem, but I am still a little concerned. Also, when writing the USCIS address on this form do I write P.O. Box number of the Dallas Lockbox? That is where I am supposed to send my petition according uscis.gov site. I used that standard letter for both of us and just plugged in our names, no problem.
