Thanks guys for the advice! Yes, she got the CFO sticker 3 weeks ago. Yes, she mentioned about the exit fee of 1600 and terminal fee of 550. I will make sure she has enough money to get through it all. I found out that once she board the flight in Manila, she will not have to leave the plane again until she arrives in Detroit. I sent her sent cellphone that she can use globally and call me. Now, I just have to get her packed properly to pass through security. Her english is not that strong, so I am hope during the next coming days and on the flight over she will have a nice chat with some passengers to help her guide her way through the flight to me!

Where did you find out that she doesn't have to deplane? SHe absolutely 100% has to deplane and go through security in Nagoya. No big deal at all as I said no way for her to get lost. It is the same plane but everybody deplanes.... No worries for her and safe travels...

Well VJer's!

After 2 years, you long waited journey to bring my fiance here has come to into full focus! This will be my fiance's first time travel out of Manila in her life. She is excited but alittle nervous going through the process of packing, checking in, going through security point and finally passing through the port of entry into USA. I am send this post out to any individual that happens to be leaving from Manila on July 4th to USA. I booked her flight out of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Delta DL630 which departs at 6:30A AM. If I am looking for any person that might be travelling that day so she can have a friendly person or couple to talk to along the way to the USA.

Thanks,

Michael

Michael less than 3 days you are here!

Hey can we hear an update on how it's gone for her in the U.S.? My fiance's English is medium-level as well so I'm really curious to hear how your fiance reacted to the transition to the U.S. - any tips or ideas that helped her get accustomed to things, etc. Plus I'm so excited to hear someone else got approved and traveled - the wait seems sooooo long.

Also if anyone knows of a site/resource that I could use to read about how to help a Filipina transition to the U.S. - read about others' experience/advice in this area, maybe find nice decent friends for her here, etc. Thanks for any tips/advice/resources/links.
