Dear All,

This great forum has helped me with my questions, regarding my wife CR-1 process and I thank each one of you.

However, I have a question, which is in regard to my cousin and his process…any help will be highly appreciated

My Uncle who is a US citizen, has filled for his son, who is over the age 21. His I-130 has been approved (Approval notice section: Unmarried son or daughter (21 or older) of USC, 203(a)(1) INA)…can someone tell me how long will it take for him to get his case number or how long the whole process will take?? His notice date was May 18,2012

His approval notice state, his case has been sent to NVC…but still have not heard from NVC…any advice will be highly appreciated…

Assuming his son is unmarried and remains that way, he's looking at about 8 years for the entire process

09/18/12 - Case Complete

11/01/12 - Interview - Passed

11/08/12 - Received IR-5 visa

F2-B for Brother & Sister

08/28/13 - NOA1

12/24/13 - NOA2

01/15/19 - Welcome letter

02/28/19 - Case Complete

06/20/19 - Interview letter

07/17-18/19 - Interview - Passed

07/31/19 - Received F2-B visa

He will hear from NVC when a visa number will be available for him. You are looking at several years.

Our Journey

Met: 02/25/2010

Married: 08/12/2010

I-130 sent: 02/11/2011

NOA1: 02/14/2011

Request for expedite: 02/24/2011

NOA2-I-130 APPROVED!: 03/16/2011

Interview date: 7/7/2011

Visa in Hand!!!! 09/21/2011

I will let him, that he has to wait for few years…

One last question...currently is he unmarried and it will take few years…what will happen if in the middle of his process he gets married? Then how will the process change then? Thanks for your help in advance.
