We just got the K1 denied last week (12th Oct). :( The reason for the

denial is basically that I entered the US on an L1 visa after the company

had basically ceased to trade (still had 9 months on the L1).

We expected that we would need the waiver, and had an I-601 filled in with a short

letter of from the US citizen. We were advised to re-do that letter with more detail

and for me (UK citizen) to also complete one. We were also given two blank copies

of the G325 and instructed to fill in one each.

Looking at the downloadable forms this one is slightly different as it's headed Department of Justice

rather then Department of Homeland Security. Does it matter ??? also how many copies do

we fill in (all 4 ??).

Anybody know of where we can see an example letter of hardship.

Thanks for any help.

Hello finbarr,

I'm not sure about the difference in the form there has probably been an update to it since we filled them out. But I can say yes you fill out all 4 pages for each.

You can find example letters here
