You are right on the dot…. Just coz one case was hyped up by media and that too media botched up the details and now just ppl think person who shot committed crime.

I believe you missed my point. My point was that whenever there is a shooting involved. The person lying on the ground with a hole in them is not the one to be scrutinized...but rather the one still standing with the gun in their hand. There was another recently publicized case in Texas where Raul Rodriguez shot his neighbor and was found guilty and will be sentenced to life more than likely. The laws allow people to "stand their ground" in situations defined by the law of their state. Now, some people interpret this as "I can manipulate and even create circumstances to make it APPEAR that I am threatened and therefore justified to use deadly force". That is the problem that I see with these laws. And I think Zimmerman is guilty of doing this- he created and manipulated circumstances so that deadly force - in his opinion- was necessary. I don't believe his account of the events, and as his credibility becomes eroded by his own lies, I'm hoping a jury won't believe them either.

There is no doubt in my mind, based on the evidence that has been provided, that Zimmerman escalated this incident and caused it to become what it did. All he had to do was follow the instructions he was given over the phone by the police dispatcher not to follow Martin and wait for police, and we wouldn't be talking about this today.

First of all, he tried to resign but he wasn't allowed to. Clearly he did not want the job.

It says here quite clearly

"After much thoughtful discussion and deep consideration for the issues facing the city of Sanford, I have determined the police chief needs to have the trust and respect of the elected officials and the confidence of the entire community," Sanford City Manager Norton Bonaparte was quoted saying in the city's statement. "We need to move forward with a police chief that all the citizens of Sanford can support. I have come to this decision in light of the escalating divisiveness that has taken hold of the city."

So clearly this was what the people wanted. It's really quite simple, I don't understand why you are having such a hard time with this.

Secondly, what does hype have to do with an actual case? Many people wouldn't have marched if they hadn't have been aware about the situation via the media, no. What a stupid question. Why would you ask that?

Do you understand that law in Arizona and law in Florida are different? The only relationship between the case you cited and the Martin/Zimmerman case is stand your ground. The circumstances are totally different, they are not related one bit. The case that happened after Hurricane Katrina is equally as relevant. It was a murder. The murder involved an unarmed mentally disabled man so it actually is far more similar than to the Martin/Zimmerman case. I have repeated this to you several times now...

The Raul Rodriguez case was somewhat similar to the Zimmerman case. Although he actually went onto his neighbor's property and threatened them with a gun directly. Zimmerman wasn't on the person's property. He should have waited for the police, as should have Zimmerman. The information I read in relation to Rodriguez said that he learned the terms from a firearms class that he could use to say he was being threatened. How can someone who walked onto a property with a gun be the one who feels threatened? There are also ways to shoot people without killing them, Rodriguez would have known that from taking the concealed permit class.

For your info he did not do anything wrong.... he just followed the normal police protocol which is followed by most police force around the country.

Not only that but no claim was made he did anything wrong from the report above...... he seems to be a scapegoat.
