Thanks for posting the review! I speak for everyone when i say we appreciate it.

I know you said you felt safe there and never worried but my husband and I are still very nervous about going down in the coming months. I told him we should just stay in the hotel and order food instead of going to movies or out to dinner close by. Did you walk to the consulate & medical building or take the hotel shuttle? Did you feel a police presence in that area or you didn't see them but the area was calm enough that it didn't worry you?

Thanks in advance.

We were two blocks from the consulate and medical buildings. We walked everywhere but took the city bus one time to the parque central and walked the other times. We walked to all the restaurants as well. The consulate and other businesses generally use private security firms and I did see police occasionally but not often. Generally nothing worried me and that particular area of Juarez has been pretty safe over the last 1 1/2 years since one unusual incident happened that I don't think is worth worrying over today to be honest. I would not be nervous but as always when in an unfamiliar area be aware of your surroundings. The biggest thing to worry about is the "lawyers" offer advice at a price near the consulate. If you did all your research about the visa there is nothing that they can offer you that you don't already know. Best of luck :)
