Hello everyone,

Can anyone advise me on this issue. We are now at the stage that we are awaiting the packet for the interview. My wife received a letter from the Embassy on 09/20/06. My mother is slowly dying of heart disease and other illness caused by it. She is excited about meeting my wife for the first time and wants my wife here so badly for the holiday season. Is there any provision for this circumstance? I just wondered if there is anything that can be done to expedite, or do we have no choice?

Thanks

Everything I'd read about speeding up the interview date says that you have to have already received a packet with an interview date then you can request to expedit. My wife and I are hoping to get a Dec interview date so she can come at Christmas, baby due date of March 07 is looming and seeing how long it takes to get packets sent out and interviews is making me nervous. I've already shipped all documents, support evidence and everything to the wife, we are waiting on word from embassy so we can get St Lukes out of the way and get an interview date.

might try this info:

US Embassy Manila - call center

8am - 6pm Manila Time - 1-888-877-9888

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3227.html

nothing about this process is friendly, guess I'll be contacting the embassy this evening.

04/25/2006 l married Cebu Philippines

11/28/2006 l Interview US Embassy Manila

12/15/2006 l Received k3 VISA

12/27/2006 l POE Detroit USA - Home!!!

AOS - Dallas DORA

07/17/2007 l AOS Interview - accepted into DORA 90 day program

09/06/2007 l Biometrics Appointment Dallas Texas

10/15/2007 l AOS Approved - received "Welcome to the United States" Letter

10/23/2007 l Received Greencard "Permanent Resident Card"

next: lift greencard 2yr condition June/2009 / goal: US Citizenship - 2010

Congratulations on the baby! I also appreciate your feedback, it really helps. I would think for sure they would speed your process with the baby coming.

Glenn, You can do an expedite request based on ur mom's medical condition. You will likely need a notarized statement from a doctor. There was a section either on the NVC or USCIS page about medical expedites, do a search and good luck. Payato.

I would just like to say how nice and thoughtful everyone here is. It makes me feel good that so many people will take the time out of their lives to help someone else. THANKS!
