Things speeding up in the Philippines?

I have 2 dates for when the embassy received my petition. On is September 19, the other is the September 26. Since it was sent to the Embassy September 18 I am guessing September 26 is the correct date. Anyway, Jenny received packet 3 on October 17, 22 days after the Embassy received the petition. It seems like the group of petitions received before us took 6 weeks. Just wanted to pass on what I think is good news.

hi! im so very interested to know where does jenny lives? i mean just around manila area? or somewhere in luzon??? coz they sent our case to the emabassy last sept 18 too and we havent got any packet 3 yet or the notice that they have our case already. we're so worried and concerned about it already thats why we keep on calling them (to no avail yet) just to know if our case is already there... im from mindanao so who knows i'll get the packet too around this week...im really hoping and praying for it...

Jenny lives in Davao, The appointment date has not been sent.

Packet 3 = instructions

Packet 4= appointment date

I did not understand that

My wife and I are in the same situation. NVC says K3 went out to embassy on Oct 4th.

Has anyone had any luck contacting the embassy with a case number and getting updates?

hi ronmay, im from mindanao in surigao del sur, which is 5 hours away from davao. Embassy received my case August 23, then i received as they say packet 3 Sept. 11...Dont worry im sure you will get your packet, seem to me manila embassy is really slow this month, they didnt even give out yet the december appointments...i hope it will be soon.

Manila embassy only issues only packet 4. Not packet 3. However, I have seen some of the Phils people receive some type of intoductory letter from the embassy letting them know what to expect next. Maybe this is what Jenny received. Still exciting though.

Glad to hear that Manila is picking up the pace. I wonder if they will start updating their petition interview list, it doesn't look like it has been updated since July.

When Claudeth went through the received the packet from the embassy at the end of March and had her interview at the beginning of June so hopefully Manila is moving back towards rapid visa processing. Maybe they aren't doing so many professional visas any more.

we havent tried that number yet... couldnt find any PLDT here except at the provincial hospital and i couldnt wake up way too early just to travel myself and call at the hospital you're fiance is from NJ right? kinda far from CO... but hopefully we'll find our ka-lahi there...heheh... night for now

i've seen some post they received a letter from Embassy that it has received their petition. is that what is being referred to as package 3? at the Manila Embassy I was under the impression there is no package 3 for K-1 visa. i thought a K-1 only receives package 4, fiance visa appointment package, that is online at the Embassy website.

he guys it seems that reading this post last night is a blessing!!! i got the notice finally!!! (not the packet 4)... jen i never thought philcom will do. really??? how? i'll try... anyways im super glad even though the new interview date is being release already and i wasnt in the list maybe next time.
