Hey all

When DORA says it aims to complete cases within 90 days - is that 90 "business" days? or saturdays and sundays included? (yes im hanging on to any hope :P )

and does the 90 days start from your AOS interview?

Hi ceresa,

First off...WELCOME TO OUR LITTLE DORA CORNER!!!(F)

To answer your question, I always assumed that the 90 days start from the interview...on my approval letter, the day of my interview resulted as my "priority date", so I think that's where they actually started counting...but it doesn't seem to mean much, as what really seems to matter is the name check.

I was VERY lucky my case went smooth and I was approved in 84 days (83, if you count the day of my interview as day 1), but a lot of people get "stuck" in the name check, and that can take a lot longer.

Good luck on your journey, and feel free to ask any questions in our DORA thread! :luv:

P.S. We used to have a list of people and the timelines of their applications, but it hasn't been updated in a long time...I'll try to update it and post it again, it might help people who just started the process!

Good luck! (F)

OK guys.... we have a problem.... I think I may have told you all that they had the wrong address for Steven however we still managed to get his DORA appt NOA.... Now we have everyones biometrics but Stevens. Peter called this misinformation line and they told him to file an AR-11... to the local service center, however the first time he called when we got the noa they told him to file it at the address on the ar-11 which is KENTUCKY..... NOw they are telling us something different...figures... is this where we had the DORA interview... or the TSC... also I think they told him to send one to missouri as well... Now Peter is on the phone with them again after waiting an hour and a half to get through earlier today....I can't believe we are having this much hassel b/c some idiot missed a one on our address....

P.S. Did you find out anything about that missing Biometrics NOA???

Yes.... we found the "missing biometrics letter"....It was hiding from us in my ehem....history book...lol

We just got back from the biometrics appointmet....easy peasy... we actually got there and hour early got in, and seen to with in 30 minutes.

And I would like to give Gman a big shout out for the map...with out that.....we would have been lost.

I wasn't really impressed with the place... As Peter put it " It was a bit seedy dont ya think?"

1 down and 2 to go. Oh yeah, Peter took his written drivers test today and passed with flying colours. Now for the driving test.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Glad you found the missing biometrics letter -- it's hard enough keeping all the paperwork in order for one applicant. Can't imagine what it would be like for three!

Oh and I'm glad you found the map useful. I was driving and walking for ever -- didn't seem right for someone else to have to suffer that too. ;) And I agree with the seediness verdict -- although the staff, as always, were very helpful and friendly. I was starving by the time I got out of there. Ahhhh... dear, dear What-A-Burger, how you never let me down...

Hahahahah!!! Mr. Geordieluvr LOVES and I mean LOVES What-A-Burger. When he would come here to visit me... the minute we got in the car I heard " Let's go to What-A-Burger" He loves their food!

Oh yeah.. He passed his written driving test... anyone have any idea where we can go for his driving one with out having to stand in a queue from 5:30 in the morning. This is what the lady at the DMV suggested since the appts. are first come first serve.
