k1_visa - sorry you're still waiting. My letter arrived 6 months and one day after my DORA interview. Maybe yours is on the way.

Thanks InLove!

I'd been sending off my resume with vague comments like "full employment authorization" - since I had EAD. Finally I can write "permanent resident status" -- which is what most employers stipulate.

Gman: I know what you mean...same here!

I have a job interview next week (aaarghhh!) and I'm pretty nervous about it...but I feel more confident having my SS# and my Green Card. Good luck on your job search!!!

geordieluvr: Congrats on your Biometrics appointment! I'm sure you will get the other letters soon! It's nice to know things are moving, isn't it? Let us know how it goes! (F)

Thanks a lot for your congratulations guys.

k1_visa:

I don't what you should write in your resume officially -- I'd been writing "British citizen with full US employment authorization". But then again, I haven't secured an interview yet so maybe that's why!! I've noticed a lot of jobs ask for USC or permanent resident only.

geordieluvr:

Biometrics is a breeze. My own and In_Love's comments are still up on the old thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums2/index.p...ic=62705&st=240

Don't forget that hubby should keep his fingers free of cuts and scrapes though!

Also, if your appointment is at USCIS on 3701 W. Northwest Hwy then here's my map of where the office is (where it says USCIS, not where the little red flag is - that's where google maps tells you it is). I couldn't find it for a good while!

FYI -- just got an email saying my case status has been updated:

Current Status:

This case has been approved.

So, it looks like the system *is* updated. But for me at least, only twice: First time to say they've received my case and secondly to say it's complete. So lack of status activity doesn't appear to mean that there's a hold up.

Ooooh. Just got my green card proper. That was quick - the NOA said it could be up to 3 weeks. More interesting however (IMO) is the security on the card. Wowzerz! That's gotta be the most unforgeable thing I've ever seen. Very impressive.

Further advice on biometrics -- the photo they take at the appointment at is the photo that's gonna be on your green card. You've been warned y'all.

(I'm not really vain, I'm the scruffiest man alive... I just like to have ID pictures that mislead...)

*Up date* Mr Geordieluvr received his biometrics letter today!!! It's scheduled for March 10@10. We still need one more for his other son. I wonder why they wouldn't process them as a family instead of 1 at a time...oh well.... at least it's progressing!

:huh::blink: waitinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg since August.

200 days since i was approved to the DORA// 180 days since my Biometrics

Am I the only one in this forum whos petition is taking so long?

Most of the cases are approved, as far as I know,

(1) within 90 days

(2) in aprox. 120-150 days

Am I an exception?
