Huh? The ones who sneak across do their best to NOT register their whereabouts with the government!

Huh? You must not have heard about these things. Public Eduacation is a big one. All of these ESL classes now offered at schools, taking money and teacher's away to focus on a few.

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court has rejected a challenge to a California policy that gives tuition breaks to illegal immigrants to attend public colleges and universities.

The justices on Monday refused to review a California Supreme Court ruling that upheld a state law giving California high school graduates reduced tuition at state schools, regardless of their immigration status. The court did not comment on its action.

The law's challengers say it conflicts with federal immigration law that prohibits post-secondary education aid to illegal immigrants.

Projections based on the monthly figures in 2010 show the total cost for the year will exceed $600 million, up from 2009 when the total sum of $570 million for CalWORKs and food assistance.

“When you add this to $550 million for public safety and nearly $500 million for healthcare, the total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers exceeds $1.6 billion dollars a year – not including the hundreds of millions of dollars for education,” said Antonovich.

However, public education, in this context, does not mean free. In addition, ESL classes are offered to all students, regardless of immigration status.

Some people think just being Mexican should be illegal.

Some people think just being brown should be illegal.

Here is the logic:

Illegal Immigrants = Hispanics.

Hispanics = Mexican

ergo illegal immigrants = Mexican!

Who is 'they' ?

So if 0sama bin Laden's flunkies come to the US and impose sharia law then I guess you should keep your mouth shut because you lost. BTW, there is no such thing as " Indian land ". You'd have to go to Mumbai and all points east for that.

The imposition of Christianity on Native peoples through death and the threat of death was ok, though.

I have seen this idea floating through cyberspace more times than I can count: that if you oppose immigration, then you should get out of the US because it was originally Indian land. Irks me that people are unable to make the difference between winning a war (and all its consequences), and opposing a policy.

k9N6m.jpg

^Natives Americans have no call in claiming it was their land, since they have lost it through WAR. That simply means they have no claim to it anymore – they didn’t accept the whites, the whites were simply stronger and won.

Am I wrong?

Ya, you are wrong. I used to write about First Nations law and advocate Native land rights on the state and federal level. There's a vast body of law about Native land rights in the US, Canada and some nations in Latin America involving the evolution of property rights for Native nations and individuals.

There are entire cities in the US that pay rent to a Native American tribe. Palm Springs, CA is owned by the Aqua Caliente tribe. Foxwoods, the largest casino in the US is on tribal land that was won partially through legal precedent. Most Natives don't live on reservations, but their tribes collectively hold vast resources on tribal lands where they have their own governmental bodies and laws. There's a Native nation physically dividing Canada. A little research on the subject could show you how wrong you are.

Why?

Because the tribe is the landowner? Just spitballing here.

It was a slow methodical war that the natives lost. They never had a chance to begin with. But we do have a chance to stop illegal immigration yet our government fails to do anything about it. It's a sell out.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I like it how I am wrong, yet no one seems to point out why. The Indians (yes, I know, the Natives, but I don't do PC #######) were engages in a war which they lost, just like a thousand other populations before them. I don't see where they still have the guts to complain about it, when it was a clear cut lost on their part, or how that is somewhow comparable to nowadays immigration.

Another example from my country's history. 1000 years ago, the nowadays Hungian populations came from Asia and invaded Transylvania, which they held in their power for over 900 years before we took it back after being on the winning side of WW1. This is how history is written, I am still baffled as to how a population can lose a war and still ###### so much about it. Or how the population that defeated them can now grovel to the feet of the very same people their ancestors defeated. I guess it is genetic degeneration.

I know. Provilleges offered to them by the remorseful white folks, right? Just serves to make my point actually.

I like it how I am wrong, yet no one seems to point out why. Yes, I, too, like how you are wrong. Everyone here points out that you mix up two very different issues. The Indians (yes, I know, the Natives, but I don't do PC ####### I'm sorry that you're using an Apple, INDIANS are natives of INDIA not North America, just like the Chinese are not natives of Romania) history. 1000 years ago, the nowadays Hungian populations came from Asia and invaded Transylvania, which they held in their power for over 900 years before we took it back after being on the winning side of WW1. This is how history is written, I am still baffled as to how a population can lose a war and still ###### so much about it. (So that means that Lebensraum was perfectly acceptable under your logic. Why did your so-called people still keep fighting 900 years after they lost to the Hungarians? ) Or how the population that defeated them can now grovel to the feet of the very same people their ancestors defeated. (It's called humanity, my ancestors were cannibals, should I emulate them?) I guess it is genetic degeneration. (Now you are talking about miscegenation and eugenics, a bunch of folks had the same idea in Germany in the 1930s).

I know. Provilleges offered to them by the remorseful white folks, right? Just serves to make my point actually. (No, it shines on light on you.)

As usual, you're way off base with this one. You completely missed the point of the OP.
