i just got married in india, court marriage, i got my certificate signed by the officer.

does my marriage certificate needs to be signed or stamped or anything else needs to be done with it? i am asking because earlier the officer said that it needs to be signed by another officer of a higher rank, then it needs to go to new delhi(patiala house court) for another signature, however once i told him its for applying for visa to USA, he said that we dont need to do anything, just take the certificate and apply for the visa and if the embassy needs anything they will ask for it .

i just want to avoid any problems or delays later on, so could any of you here, please tell me if there is anything else that needs to be done?

thanks
