So here is my update...my five month mark was this Saturday and guess what....still no NOA2. I called a little while ago to file a service request and they couldn't...I was told I was still within normal processing since they are currently processing January 23rd applications....oh really? That's what I was told teo weeks ago...well anyhows I was told to wait another 30 days...what is wrong with these people? If u are "processing" January 23rd or atleast that's what they claim why on earth should I wait another thirty days? Not stressing though I will be writing to my congressman when I get home from work. Has anyone else tried to contact regarding their application? What dates r u hearing as of late?

if you look at the i-130/immdrelative processing trends for vsc, the gap between apps pending and completions is growing between march12 and april12. this is very much bad news because their management has screwed up somewhere on the processing. much indicator is that they wasted money on duplicate notices at april12 and cut back on contracting staff. they gotta get the money from somewhere, definitely not out of the director's pocket!

I faxed my congressman's office yesterday and will follow up today. They said they would email but they did not seem optimistic they would get cooperation.

It seems to me some concerted effort is needed to get this service center in gear and get information. If not, the thirty day wait will expand to sixty, ninety, one twenty and more.

conducting a prompt followup is always necessary nowadays because people need to be reminded. it also helps if you use a online calendars etc...

It almost seems like VSC closed down for the summer. Or took a long vacation. Just doesn't seem like it will ever end. It's very quiet..no approvals in sight...and before we know it this week will have passed..

yup and marriages and relationships are struggling... its definitely every man for himself.. I will call congressman, go into them whatever I have to do.. should the 7th come and I still dont get my NOA2.

this is exactly what you need to do from time to time. i learn this the hard way from uscis.

Maybe a service request does more harm than good. I put at the suggestion of the CSR between their receipt of my response to a RFE and the supposed 60 day reply period. The result was "you will get a decision or notice of action in sixty days."

So does putting in a service request just provide VSC to tack on another sixty days?

what did they actually ask for in your rfe? or maybe the service request actually made your officer look and found this rfe issue.

it would be malicious of them to ask for your i130 form again or things you had already provided. i would take serious action over this because i am losing family time over this already. and to stack top of it, i would just focus the rest of my time dealing with this.

my understanding is that they are suppose to approve my application within 5 months. i done my fair work in waiting and now it is only fair for them to spend their two/less hours to approve my case. and the background is taking so long is a bullshyt speech because they have the interagency border information system, fbi database, and fingerprint. they would find anything on my wife because she isn't a terrorist or been to the u.s. yet - no file record. and as for me, i am clean -meaning no criminal record etc. then you have the iso telling you they had work as a adjudicator, that is complete bullshyt too because they can't even verified they use those background check database. then they back off and tell you a whole bunch of other story.

I am pretty angry about this also. The service request was put in after my response to RFE. My resonse was before the five months was up. I waited about three weeks after the response called and the CSR put in an RFE. The RFE was pro forma. I have been divorced and I sent in a compy of my divorce decree. They asked for a copy that was stamped by the court so I sent a certified copy with all the proper markings. It woudl take all of five seconds to look at the paper and acknowlege it was correct.

The service request response was sixty more days adding another 30 days on the 60 for their outside time to make a decision or reply after an RFE.

any documents can be notarized should be notarized. .. i have plenty of copies with me just incase they would say oops i lost your document etc.. at this momement my case has been sitting next to a officer for more than a month not doing anything. it is just "with officer pending review". really? did he just use my files as a chair cushion and forgot about it?

I just hope the NVC stage isn't this slow and painful...but at the rate VSC is working who knows when we will get to the NVC stage....I personally think they used my file as confetti for some sort of parade instead of a chair cushion :'(

It's in God's hands, I'm doing all I can. My love is getting stronger each day and my determination is strong and getting stronger. It seems that the batch right before us got through easy. Vermont summers are nice, perhaps some of the processers are out on vacation. God it is in your hands now. [-o<
