as a child, and blaming the devil didn't work either, as a child, still got my rear end pounded off. What worked is being a lot more careful or just being good. Really was good when dealing with the USCIS. They don't believe in the devil either.

Found ironic as a Catholic, always had to get on your knees and kiss the ring for anyone a bishop or higher. In my life, a cardinal was the highest, never met a pope. JFK did, but certainly wouldn't get on his knees either, wouldn't look good for the president of the USA to bow before any foreigner, just shook hands with the pope.

Don't even know when this practice started, certainly not with Jesus Christ that started all this stuff, he got on his hands and knees to wash the feet of his disciples. Course the same with our leaders today demanding the utmost of respect because of their office, forgetting completely, they are suppose to be servants of the people.

Of anything, our religious and political leaders should lead by example, that would be the day. But is a huge difference, if they are naughty, they get away with murder, the rest of us have to pay a severe price for being naughty.

Ha, the devil made me to it.
