I have applyed for change of status to perminant residency afer marrying a US citizen 3 months ago.

I am in the film industry and just got offered a job in the Dominican Republic which I just cant turn down. Would it be possible to get advanced parol to the Dominican Republic for 80 days? And what is the file number to apply for AP?

Thank you for you time,

James

Form I-131 fee is $170 http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-131.htm

Example on how to fill it out: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-131.pdf

Hopefully you get the AP in time for your trip.

Good luck

AP es solo para casos de emergencia, no para ofertas de trabajo.

No me digas. En realidad te casaste por amor y no por una verde. Cierto?

Papa, esa misma maroma que tienes tramada mi ex-esposa de Argentina se la tiro, pero no le salio. Termino siendo deportada y no puede volver a entrar.

Is it possible to leave for 80 days, and the puspose of a job in another country a reason they will accept?

James

Your job here requires you to travel to other country for your work. Also remember you have to return for the AOS interview, hopefully it is not scheduled when you are out of country.

LOL

Im sorry but your reply made me laugh. It's just the expressions. :)

But yes, definitely, to the OP, you can leave with the AP, but this document is not meant for you to leave the country to work (though, how are they -USCIS- going to know you're working, I dont know). I wouldnt chance it if I were you.

Of course they are not going to know why you need to leave but it doesn't matter even if they do. You are allowed to leave on AP for 'bona fide business reasons' as it says on the I-131 form which is what you are doing. You can be away for those 80 days as long as your 12 month AP hasn't run out in the meantime.
