i am a LPR here in US, i filed i-130 for my wife in Phils. last august 2011. i received the NOA2 last saturday June 16,2012, but we have a 3yrs. old daughter with her which i didn't file a i-130 yet, and we are a little worried in case my wife get the schedule for interview and how about our daughter? we live in cebu so it would be better if they will have the same schedule to save us some money. what should we do? do i have to file my daughter ASAP or wait till my wife finish her interview? i've been asking my friends but too many different answers, so i hope someone really knows what to do with our situation. thank you!

While you are an LPR, it will be several years before you wife is eligible for an interview. So, there's plenty of time to file the I-130 for your daughter. When you become a US Citizen, you can upgrade the petitions and jump to the front of the line.

Your wife's PD is Aug 2011, refer currently PD with up to 15 Feb 2010 are getting visa interview for JULY 2012. So there is a plenty of time before your wife gets an interview letter.

Since you are LPR, children below 21 years do not require separate I-130 and your child can be added as beneficiary in to your wife's application. You need to provide birth certificate and details of passport for your child to NVC when NVC requests for your wife's case.

In the meantime, if you become USC you need to file separate I-130 for your child. I am in the same boat with my spouse's PD of Sec 2010 and gonna have baby in mid sept this year.

You can call but expect them to tell you they are just going to sit on the case file until your priority date becomes current. If you become a citizen before the priority date becomes current, your wife's case will move forward but you will then wish you had filed a petition for your daughter.

You do not need to call NVC. NVC will send you more info when the application is ready for further processing. It may take few more months before NVC contacts you and asking to submit relevant documents.

In the meantime if you become USC, you can call NVC rightway and asks for further procession as spouse's of USC do not wait in the line as opposed to LPR.

You'll want to keep checking the visa bulletin. Currently the priority date NVC will consider valid to proceed is any date prior to Jan 1, 2010. Check the current status here. http://www.travel.st...letin_5712.html and look under F2A for Philippines. Things sometimes change quickly but it looks like you've got about 8 more months.
