You only had to use Google! http://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/11_useful_info/cert_no_crime.html#oversea

You can apply the hongkong police certificate if you receive your packet 3 already since they need the letter and the checklist. After that, download 3 forms at hongkong police website eo-cncc-ib@police.gov.hk and go to the local RCMP for the fingerprint. Then send it together with your copy of your Hongkong ID and bankdraft for the payment. It will take 4 weeks in their office to process. Thats what i did in mine last March. You can Call them at 852-2860-6558 to follow up while your police certificate is on process. They will ask your hongkong ID number to trace your application.

Thank you so much. Another question if you dont mind. So, if i will need to wait for the P3, can i mail my P3 without waiting for the HK police since i read they will send it directly to the immigration. thank you

Technically You can. However the consulate won't issue you the U.S visa unless they receive the police check because when you mail that, it assumes that you have had all the document in hand (besides the medical check).

Make sure you have at least a month and a half for the HK police to process and mail the police check to the consulate.

It wasn't a pleasant experience for me when waiting for the HK police check as they mail it back to me to request for more things... A month was wasted because of that! :(

Hi thanks for the information. I assumed your timeline in your profile is wrong. In there, you sent the form a day after you received the P3

I appreciate all the help. May I ask yogi again some questions.?

I have been reading, on how the processing goes and printing all the forms that we will need. And the affidavit of support confused me. Montreal consulate asked for I 134, and I cannot find the specific form. I was lead to a linked that has so much form, regarding the affidavit of support and I don't know which one my fiancé will fill.

For a long time we thought that after 5 months I can move to US then get married . I realized that our dates for the wedding and moving not gonna happen soon. The 5 months USCIS is just the start of a long and stressful waiting.

And you were in our shoe before, hoping you can help us too. I am freaking out!!! Help? begging!!!!

Hi, how did your case turn out? I ask because here is my current situation...

My husband is filling F2A for me and our priority date is March 2, 2011.

NVC sent us a "case complete" e-mail on July 2012. We have been waiting for a visa to be available since then.

My questions are regarding the Hong Kong police report. Due to the long wait between the completed case and my potential interview in a few months, I now have been working in Hong Kong over one year now. This means I will need to get a Hong Kong Police No Criminal Record for my interview.

However, Hong Kong Police only mails the police report directly to the Guangzhou consulate/NVC after they see a request letter from NVC or the Consulate General in Guangzhou. They will NOT provide a police report to me as the beneficiary of the case.

1. I opted for electronic processing, so which letter from NVC or consulate should I take with me to the HK police department?

2. Since we elected for electronic processing, where should Hong Kong police mail the No Criminal Record to?

3. If the HK police department agrees to mail it to Guangzhou directly, will the consulate know where to file it properly so they will have my HK police clearance in my file on my interview date given that my case is currently at NVC and not sent to Guangzhou yet?

Anyone else go through this situation in the past?

Thanks.

Hi

1. I sent the copy of packet 3 you received from consulate and i sent the noa2.

2. They will send it to Guangzhou US consulate. ( you will receive a letter from HK police with your receipt and the form stating what check you are asking)

After you sent the background check application, wait for 4 weeks then call them to check if it was sent out to consulate, They will ask for your hk id and case number.

3. You will need the packet 3 letter and case number.

KelsoBeh,

Thank you for your reply.

We opted for electronic process so the P3 Letter was e-mailed to us from NVC. The P3 letter has our case number but without the full address of Guangzhou Consulate on it. What do we do in this case? How do we make sure that Hong Kong Police sends the No Criminal Record to Guangzhou?

I am hoping someone could help shed some light on how to navigate from the position that we're in.

You can print the p3. And add a cover letter where you wanna send the police clearance. As i said what i did was call the hk police if the document was send to embessy and asked about the tracking number so i can track the papers, i did. Then to make it sure embassy got my doc i emailed the embassy, i recieved a reply . Then just wait for your interview.

You can apply the hongkong police certificate if you receive your packet 3 already

My fiancee havs received the Packet 3 by email from the Consulate for me (I am the applicant) but it does not have my full name neither in the email (only my family name in the title) nor in the packet where it lists the need for Police Certificates. What do I do?

Also, the Italian Police won't produce for me the document with certified fingerprints unless the Consulate or the HK Police request them themselves, I have just written to the Naples Consulate to see if they can requesting them, has anyone had that problem?
