We applied for I-130 on January 10. Still waiting for NO2. And after passing the 5 month mark, we called and ask for a service request.

This is the ridiculous message we got in 5 days. How frustrating.

The status of this service request is:

Processing times for specific applications and petitions at the Vermont

Service Center (VSC) are provided on the www.uscis.gov website and are

updated weekly. Based on fluctuations and variables that impact the

processing times and for the purpose of interim or final adjudicative

processing, the VSC allows 30 days beyond the posted date before the case

is considered "Outside of Normal Processing Time" (ONPT).

An additional 30 days must be allowed for adjudicative review and

processing before we can request expeditious processing based on an ONPT

request. If the application or petition is still pending after 30 days,

and once we receive your formal request for expeditious processing, your

case will be forwarded to the applicable adjudicative unit for

expeditious handling.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer

Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I can feel you... :(:(:(

But 5 months is general time frame....there is some +/- and mostly + time frame..at the same time, you are on BAD cycle of processing as VSC is considerably slower these days...

If you really look at the response, its not really bad

An additional 30 days must be allowed for adjudicative review and

processing before we can request expeditious processing based on an ONPT

request

Whatever you call ( grace period), now they are just claming 1 extra month is included on Normal processing time. Most importantly, the response is not denying you will not hear within 6 months period.

Good luck...hope you will have good news to share soon...(within this month....
