Well I'm happy to see that I received a letter from the NVC stating that my I-129F petition has been forwarded to the Visa Unit at the Manila US embassy, but my fiance's name is spelled wrong on the letter. I don't know why they have it spelled wrong, as it's correct on all my forms. Is this going to confuse the people at the Embassy? Is this going to be a problem?

Just drop them an email and bring it to their attention, and email the consulate to let them know as well. Nip it in the bud before it can cause a problem (if any at all).

And Congrats :) Best wishes for a speedy approval.

Call them and get it fixed in the computer system as well.

if it's spelled correctly on your petition and your NOA2, wouldn't think that would cause problem. an electronic file of your petition is at the Embassy in Manila. you can call them to verify the spelling and if wrong what you need to do to correct it. i suggest using the 011-63-2-528-6300 number ext 5184 or 5185.

I called NVC and they verified that it's incorrectly spelled in their computer files so the Embassy will get the incorrect spelling as well. They said I will need to contact the Embassy to get this fixed.

I got through to the Embassy in manila. They said it wasn't a problem and I could send a letter or it could be corrected the day of the interview. I asked for the correct address to send a letter but then she said it really wasn't necessary and it can easily be corrected at the interview. She also said that this is a common problem at NVC.
