received case # and iin# today

So I received the case number and the iin number today over the phone.Was looking online on the nvc website and the ds-3032 form has place to affix a barcode.Having looked at the template for said form on this website I dont see any mention of a barcode. I did see the link to generate a barcode but it didnt seem to work for me.Do i need a barcode for this form or template or not? The operator I talked with told me i couldnt do anything further until i received my papers in the mail.Someone please prove him wrong for me ..heheh, thanks.

ok, so i just generated a barcode from the website in Saylin post. Do i use the form from saylin or the form from the nvc website...confused i am.Getting a little to excited and brain dead now.

Just follow the instructions on the wiki. There is no printing any form, no scanning, no attaching barcodes, no signing, no attaching to an email. You just write an email following the template on the wiki.

Thanks. Well im just a little confused because the ds-3032 form on the nvc website has a place at the top of the form to attach a barcode. I Will just use your template and snail mail and email it. Thanks again.

That's the DOS form. There's no need to snail mail it when the template works as an email. Please save your money and time and just email the template found here on VJ.

ah what if the beneficiary is in a foreign country and doesnt speak english, how the heck is he/she supposed to write a letter to the NVC saying ''I the beneficiary xxxxx''

The petitioner can always write up the email and send it from the beneficiary's email address. Some petitioners do that here on VJ.

hey , I actually have the original signed form DS-3032 by my wife, can I just scan it and send it thru the email?

If you actually read the template wiki here on VJ, you'd see there's no need to scan anything. If you have the original signed DS-3032, in your case, it might just be better to mail it.
