My wife and I had our interview for the I-751, last Thursday (June 14). The interviewer said "Looks good, I will approve this after i review the documents a bit more" (the interview was very short, and she didn't look at the docs at all.... just took them and put in binder).

that sounded good, but it's now Monday the 18th, and we haven't received any confirmation emails. I thought (based on most forums), that this initial email usually takes 1 -2 days, and then the card itself is received up to a month later.....

can others give some timelines they experienced AFTER the interview?

We filed July 2011.

You have to give them some more time, just 2 business days passed. If the officer said that, I'm sure you get approved. Just hand in there for about 2 weeks.

By the way, what did the officer ask you during the interview? You filed to CSC right?

Good luck!

Actually it's been 1 business day between the interview and today. A bit more patience is needed.

that's good to hear that we should wait a bit more! i kept thinking 2 weeks better... but i saw some people get email the next day, so i started freaking out..."what's there to wait for? why do they need so much time?" etc. i'm sure everyone knows how stressful waiting is....

Gummi ----

the interviewer asked about pictures (Who people were in photos with us)

if we plan to have kids and where

what my wife was doing in japan the past year (she had to travel for her family due to all the recent tragedies there).

also they asked about

the actual interview was only about 10 min....

You can look at our timeline for more details, but we had our interview in March and did not get approved until middle of May. It was something like 2 1/2 months after the interview. From what I can tell from other posts on here, the average is around 10-14 days. I don´t know why ours took so long--there weren´t any RFEs or anything. We never received the approval letter in the mail just found out by making an Infopass appointment. They said we were approved at the appointmnet, but it still took a few days to get the approval email and card production ordered text. Good luck! Hopefully you will know something soon!

so we JUST received the approval letter!!! that puts us at about 5 full days (including weekend) from the date of the interview... maybe 2 full business days... AFTER interview. the online site is STILL not updated, but we have the letter and it's signed by the interviewer.

very happy, elated, and thank you all for the comments!

See, I told you! Congratulations, that's a very quick decision, I know some people have to wait at least 2 months after the interview but it is because the officer didn't say they were approved at the interview. So you knew it because he told you are approved.
