Hi,

I am US Citizen,

My mother just got a US visitor visa for 5 years.

1) I am thinking to apply for her Green Card once she comes here.

Is it will be fast to process her Green Card from here in US compare to back in the country?

Any Idea how long will it take here?

2) I also have a sister 13 years old and 18 years old. Can I file for both of them as her dependent?

Will they both will get theirs Green Cards at the same time as my mother does?

Thanks for your help.

It is illegal to enter the US on a non-immigrant visa with the intent to immigrate. The wait for an available visa for siblings is over 10 years.

It would be quicker for both sisters if you applied only for your mom and had her apply for your sisters as a permanent resident. It MAY even be a lot quicker for them because they are under 21. I'm not sure about the 18 year old because she may age out. You definitely should investigate further on this. Others that have been through this would know better than I would. The last visa bulletin for F2A indicated the time was about 2½ years from the time the application is submitted. That's so much better than the 10+ years it would take for you to apply for them. (Of course it would take 12-15 months from the time you applied for your mother to her getting her green card)

What country are they from. The process is slower from some countries. You apply for your mother and that is about a year. If she applies for your sister the youngest will be F2a which is just over 2 years for everywhere but Mexico. Your older sister may also make it in the same timeline. If not that F2b is about 8 years except Mexico ( 92 ) and Philippines ( 11 years ) If your mother has any health issues you should file also as her death would kill the petitions

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
