Did we make a mistake on taxes?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone here can enlighten me. Myself and my husband filed our taxes back in February with an accountant and we have just received our tax transcript. What I wanted to ask is how do you make sure the accountant has filed properly. Me and my husband filed 'married filing jointly' (which is on the tax transcript - so that bit is correct) and I informed him that I would be filing as a immigrant resident alien for the entirety of 2011 (I am a PR). Maybe its me freaking out a little, but how do I ensure he hasn't put me as a "non immigrant" or even worse accidently put me as a US citizen. Reading the guides on US citizenship, I don't want the mistakes of an accountant to come bite me on the butt when its time to file for citizenship...and yes I'm a bit of a control freak! :P

Naturalization Journey (Based on 5 years as a PR):

November 21st 2016 - Sent N-400 to Dallas Lockbox.

November 30th - Check Cashed.

December 1st - Email/Text Notifications.

December 8th - Hardcopy of NOA received (Priority Date 11/25).

December 9th - Biometrics Appointment Letter received.

December 19th - Biometrics Appointment.

January 4th 2017 - "In Line" for Interview.

June 9th - Online status changed to "Interview was Scheduled".

June 12th - Interview Letter received.

July 19th - Interview (NYC). Requested a "delayed Oath" for after September 4th 2017.

September 11th - Oath Letter received. Honored my request for a delayed Oath Ceremony. 

September 14th - Oath Ceremony.

Wow this is defintiely news to me! Thanks so much for the quick responses! Looks like I was freaking out over nothing. Can I just ask a further question...when it says in the PR guidelines you can loose your permanent residency if you file as a "non-immigrant" on your tax returns, how do they know if someone has done this if immigration status isn't required? Is it also true that if you file married filing jointly its impossible to file as a non-immigrant as you have to be a resident to file jointly?

There is a separate form for Non-residents. I think they must be referring to that. It's called the 1040NR for "non-resident." You definitely didn't file that.
