we just got an interview date schedule. it is August 14. I just called DoS. we are still waiting for package 4 to get to my fiance. from my understanding, we need the appointment letter to get the medical exam done. is that correct? Thanks everyone. haha, i hope my Fiance could be here by the end of August.

Wow, congrats on the interview date. From what I read on this board, you can email and request a copy of the appointment letter send to you via email.

You can request a copy via email or in person.. depending on how long ago the sent it, via emailmay result in wait for it.. but its worth the time to send the email anyway... the sooner you get that, the sooner you can get the medical out of the way.

Congrats! Our interview is the August 31. They told me they sent packet 4 out on July 6. We're still waiting for the packet 4 in the mail.

Anyone knows where they send packet 4 from? Is from the DoS in the States or directly from the US Consulate in Saigon?

from the consulate to the address of the beneficiary... DoS only has computer access to the case at this point..

RandT, have your fiance received P4 yet? we still have not see anything. so i emailed them again to see where the appointment letter at. Is it very typical to give a month prior to interview for all the paperworks (mainly the medical exam, and vaccination)? DoS said they put together P4 last week friday (july 6), but they do not know if the package gets sent out or not.

I just got a call last night saying packet 4 just arrived. DoS told me they sent it out on the 6th. My fiancee lives Saigon and she just got it today. So if your fiancee is from other province, it might takes a little longer. Hope you will get yours soon. Keep us posted.
