we are preparing documents and evidences for my fiancee's interview. here is the list of what we have so far for evidences:

- every Western Union money transfer since 2009 to 2012.

- photos of us together with my family and her family in April and May this year.

- photos of us together with friends.

- my iliterary of my flights to VietNam in April.

- receipt of her engagement ring and the wedding rings for our up coming wedding.

- receipt of our engagement party in May for 25 tables banquet.

- our yahoo chat and voice call history for Jan, Feb, March 2012 for example of our on going relationship. should i include our chat log for Jun, July and possible August prior to the interview? i did submitted our yahoo chat since 2008 to 2011 with I-129F.

- an updated letter of intent to marry.

documents:

- I-134 ( i will send her the updated form so the date is closer to the interview date). i have my employer's HR letter for my income and full-time job. tax return transcripts from IRS 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. a letter from the bank manager of my account open date. Do i need to include some bank statements too?

- her passport.

- her police record.

- both of our original birth certificates.

- her household registration book.

- her ID card.

are there anything else we should include for evidences? Thanks for your input everyone.

I'd leave out the money transfers as part of a K1 petition/interview. Doesn't necessarily show a loving relationship.

How many times have you visited her? Do you have evidence of each occasion? Photos, passport stamps, boarding passes?

A few more chats during the period since you submitted the initial package is good.

Include a few recent paystubs along with the employer letter. Bank statements, information etc. are not needed if your income is sufficient.

Did you submit an "evolution of relationship" letter with the initial submission? If not, prepare one for the interview. Does not need to be written like a novel. Outline/bullet points are ok. Don't have it money focused (I bought, I sent, ...), rather have it give the highlights from start of relationship to present.

thanks for your input A&B and Anh Map. i have visited her twice one in 2009 (for a month) and recently in april and may (2 months). we do have the passports stamps and stuffs. i do not have any paystubs because i do direct deposit from my employer. Do i need to provide them if my income is way above the requirement? i submitted the original letter about our relationship timeline as part of the answer for question 18 of the I-129F. Should i do another one since August last year? Thanks.

You need some way to prove the current income that you are claiming. An employer letter is part of that. Recent paystubs are even better. Most employers issue a statement each pay period showing gross earnings, taxes withheld, etc. Past tax returns do not prove current income. (Unless you are self employed, then it is all from the most recent tax return.)

Read through the Vietnam regional forum to prepare for the interview. HCMC is not like many others. You want to be well prepared so that the result is a visa, not a request for evidence.

I want to add to what Scott said about calling DOS. Call them and make sure they give you the answer you are looking for. When I ever needed to call DOS for anything they always gave me some vague answer. Don't be rude with the person on the line, but try to get them to give you a solid answer.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. i just got an email from the consulate this morning. They are still scheduling my fiance interview date. is that normal? we sent our package 3 on June 4 and it is July 3 now. the email stated that it will take 2 to 3 months to schedule an interview date. please see the response below.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for your inquiry.

The beneficiary’s case is still being scheduled for a visa interview. Please be advised that after receiving the complete DS-230 Part 1, our office will schedule an interview appointment for the beneficiary and it takes approximately 2-3 months. As soon as a date has been set, our office will send out notification by mail known as Appointment Letter to your fiancee. Please contact us at the end of each month for further information about the appointment date.

DoS will tell you if the date has been set yet.. sometimes they get slowed down, but it could just be a response from someone that has no clue.. quite often they have peoplerespond to emals that are just responding to get the email out of the way rather than give an accurate response.
