No you are not alone. There are many January filers that have still not received NOA2.. myself included.

There seems to be a backlog at VSC... processing is very slow... according to Igor's list they have less than 50% of January petitions approved.

No you are not alone. There are many January filers that have still not received NOA2.. myself included.

There seems to be a backlog at VSC... processing is very slow... according to Igor's list they have less than 50% of January petitions approved.

the process is rather random than in order. there are a few february noa2. mine is at end of january. from the looks of current immigration movement, the service center will get a overflow of work authorization apps. this further jeopardize the family visa processing time.

01/20/12 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.

01/26/12 - NOA1 received and processing at Vermont.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

06/30/12 - Hard copy NOA2 received.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

07/24/12 - Assigned as Agent, IV Fee bill received via email, paid online.

07/25/12 - IV Fee marked paid, emailed IV packet.

07/31/12 - Emailed GZO Supplemental Packet 3.

08/02/12 - Case completed and commenced final review.

08/03/12 - Shipped all copies of forms/letters/documents to my wife - arriving on 8/9/12.

Ginaeve, ours is the same... Texas to Vermont... last updated 02/01/2012. You should create your timeline... I bet our petitions are in the same batch... Our NOA1 Notice Date on the hardcopy is Jan 31 but the received date at Vermont is the 27th. Similiar??

They are never in order. Never have been, never will be as long as multiple people are processing petitions. (Although conversely, I guess, they're more likely to be approved in order now than ever, given that VSC now seems to have one lone person working on VJ I-129F petitions for approximately 10 minutes per week, this week at least. And that 10 minutes is a generous estimate.)

Feb. 18, 2012: I-129F sent (delivered 2/21 per USPS & USCIS; NOA1 notice date 2/23/12; check cashed/email/text 2/24)

Nov. 15, 2012: Visa in hand (was ready for retrieval 11/12/12)

Nov. 20, 2012: POE, Boston!!! (legal marriage 12/12/12; family/friends wedding ceremony 1/12/13) (276 days)

Feb. 4, 2013: AOS packet sent (delivered 2/6, NOA1 text/email & check cashed 2/11 midnight)

Feb. 11, 2013: NOA1 notice date for I-485, EAD, AP (I-485/EAD NOA1 hard copies & biometrics appt letter arrived 2/16, badly mangled AP NOA1 arrived 2/27; biometrics done 3/4/13)

Apr. 3, 2013: EAD & AP approved (received card 4/11)

Aug. 16, 2013: I-485 approved & green card production ordered!!!! (card arrived 8/26/13) (193 days)

Sept. 16, 2020: interview, Boston (approved)

Sept. 24, 2020: oath ceremony, Boston---DONE!!! (279 days from submission)

Yes it seems Vermont has really slowed down lately. My petition is in a batch of about 15 I129Fs all with a received date of Jan 27th.. The one before ours... ours.. and the one after ours has not been touched, but the 11 or so AFTER THAT have all been either approved or RFE'd.

There have been a few February approvals squeek through too, even though they aren't even halfway through January yet. It's very very frustrating.. :bonk:

Some of the filers on our January thread have waited beyond 160 days. I feel really bad for the filers in Feb, March and beyond with the summer coming up and everyone going on holidays, I just don't know how they are going to keep within the 5 month average... the system is very flawed. :huh:
