Unfortuately it is a mystery waiting game, sometimes faster than others. Each step of the way is a separate waiting game till your gc arrives. Hang in there.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

You just might happen to be talking to the most impatient girl out there. But, I'm working on it. At least, I managed to wait semi-patiently for the NoA2. I only started getting really anxious around the 4 month mark.

It doesn't help that everyone wants to know what the latest wedding planning details are. I'm getting really sick of telling people, no plans until I have my visa in hand. And believe me, you'll be able to hear the cheering!

Uhg! The wedding plan questions! My family is driving me CRAZY! I cannot help that there's no set time limits. And that things are suddenly taking longer than usual. There's nothing I can do. )= They just don't understand why it takes so long, or why I don't hear anything back for such long periods of time. My mom is trying to plan her work vacation weeks to coincide with my fiance's arrival into the US and the wedding, but I can only give her a GUESS, and she just gets mad that I don't know anything. This process is stressful and depressing enough without having to explain things 20 times. I have seriously drawn my mom out a MAP of the process and how long it could take for each part, lol. I did not like having to write "1 month+" just for this NVC part that used to take a few weeks...

I'm tempted to tell them that we're going to set a wedding for next fall. And just go run to the court house when I get there. And do a "real" wedding after we have a civil ceremony. That way we could plan a church and everything. It would be so much easier on me. BUT, I can just bring myself to have a courthouse wedding. I want my ceremony to be my wedding, I want the big white dress on the day we get married. Call me old fashioned, but I just can't bring myself to go about it that way.

All I want is for the questioning to stop!

I've been looking back through K-1 applications that have received NoA2s It looks like there are a considerable amount of people who are still waiting from mid-may to have their petitions either a) delivered to NVC or b) released from NVC. So there are one of two options here. There is an intense amount of people waiting to hear from NVC or people have stopped updating their timelines. If it's the latter, I'm none too impressed.

I could not have said it better myself. I got my NOA2 on May 16th and no word from NVC crying.gif. On day 15 (business of course) they advised me to send in an email with a copy of my NOA2 and they will call USCIS and research for me. Nothing so far. I keep on calling (currently on hold wiht them) and I get the same answer again. headbonk.gif When they find out I have already sent the e-mail they just say "Wait...they will let you know when they have more info"

Wednesday! Since it'll be 'about a week'. Hey, not going to hurt!

Hehehe that's what I did. I first called NVC when it was exactly a week (Monday to Monday). The woman on the phone was polite and told me that it would take 15 business days. I was horribly impatient and called again on that Friday. The second polite woman told me it was received, asked for an email address, gave me the case number, and told me it was being sent out. This was 12 calendar days after the NOA2.

Then, a week later, we received packet 3 :) I know I got lucky with a quick NVC process... from what I'm reading, it looks like I was one of the last to get through from May quickly. Just keep calling and hope for polite people! :)

NVC recieved my case from VSC exactly two weeks after it was approved.

Case # was assigned same day. Case left for the consulate the next day too!

I'd start calling today and check the status.

You'll need:

Petitioners name and DOB

Benefiary's name and DOB

USCIS Case #

And they'll ask you who is calling.

Good luck!

Hi there, So i saw your timeline is pretty much close to mine and I live in Canada too!!! So my question is they sent the case number and stuff to the petitioner or beneficiary? By email or by mail?

Thanks :-)

Jan,2008 we met each other for the first time
March 11,2010, I flew to Dallas to visit him. We started dating.
September, 2011, we made the most stupid mistake we could have, sending out packet I-129 application without putting in a single page of supporting document.
January 12,2012, we received our declined petition letter after 5 months :-(
January 20, 2012, I flew to Dallas to prepare the packet and sent out the fiance petition
January 23, 2012, we received our noa1
May 30,2012, we received our noa2
June 13,2012, Our case was forwarded to Montreal
July 4,2012, I received RFE
July 5, 2012, I sent out RFE
July 9,2012, Montreal received my RFE
July 16,2012, I sent out my Packet 3 (I did not call Montreal to confirm if they have sent out my Packet 3)
July 25,2012, I received my Packet 4 in email
September 4,2012 at 9:10 am, visa approved !!!
September 6,2012, Visa in hand
November 17,2012, POE in Chicago
February 09,2013, Wedding

March 16,2013, AOS package sent out

March 22,2013,NOA received.

January 31, 2014, Card production

Well, we just got our NOA2 in the mail. That's... quicker than we thought! So, hopefully it'll hit the NVC soon!

Yeah, hard copy goes out with the notification it seems. But from what I read, that doesn't mean the documents leave USCIS for NVC that day. :(

I heard from another thread that the mid may cali petitions were send to NRC by mistake. Cali requested them back to re-review. One person said they even got a new noa2 date. Check your case status???

I believe that was CSC petitions, there was apparently a major routing error with CSC while Vermont remained consistent and then slowed down a bit. It's anyone's guess

I don't think there's any reason to believe they were all sent to NRC. The CSC has been slow in mailing out approved petitions since late March. The current standard seems to be 4 - 5 weeks from NOA2 to case number for CSC and 3 weeks ish for VSC.

Indeed, I too heard it was just a big batch. I'm assuming they get sent out in bundles but since approvals have slowed down so much, so those bundles slowed down.
