hello everybody!

I have a question conserning AOS. On August 24th USCIS received my I-485 application together with application for employment authorization (I got married to U.S. citizen after receiving k-1 visa). On September 7th I had my biometrics. In the middle of September I received request for missing initial evedence that I actually already submitted to them but I resent them these documents that they received on September 25th. Then they transfered my I-485 application to California (received there on October 3rd) and TODAY on October 16th I received the following email notofication:

On October 16, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

Does it mean that I will received my green card in a little bit? I havent had any interview.... I was sure that yuo have to have interview to get green card... is it ok??? did anyone have such situation.

I will appreciate any help because I am not 100% sure if I can be happy that I already have my green card...

Ola

Yup you were approved without an interview ... Expect to see your greencard in the mail soon ...

You were probably transfered to California Service Center and didn't know it ... Most people who get transfered there get approval without an interview ...

Congratulations! You have been approved:-).

Yes, it seems that a transfer to the California Service Center equals approval without an interview. That happened to me too:-). Welcome to the club.
