Hi all,

Our wonderful family and friends have written us many fantastic and personalized affidavits to mail with our petition but they all used a single template. While the body is very personal to each individual and they state the details quite well as they know them individually, the final item in each is the same: "____________ have a true and loving relationship that was entered in good faith, and is not for the purpose of circumventing immigration laws." Each person individually believe this is true but is the fact that they all have this item a problem? Or is this normal?

Why are you submitting these? What type of visa did the green card applicant enter the US with?

Are the people signing these affidavits familiar with immigration law? If they were called by USCIS could they discuss aspects of immigration law?

An affidavit should be about what a person knows about the couple. How they have interacted. Adding fluff closing statements makes the affidavits look absurd.

I got the "Fluff" line from the wiki here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Affidavit. The individuals writing affidavits are our closest friends who we've have repeated interactions with as a couple. They will be writing about these interactions.
