Interview travelling after approved

I am just wondering after you get approved on the interview for AOS .. How long does it usually take to receive a green card do i need to have applied for an AP to travel outside the USA??

and also my passport will be in my Maiden name and green card going to be in marriage name, will this be a problem travelling outside the USA ?? sorry for all the questions just curious as planning take trip home in August and Interview is in 2 weeks

My husband received his green card 8 days after approval.

If you did not apply for AP at the same time as your I-485, then it is a bit late now. Your interview is in 2 weeks and the green card is what you need anyway. AP is used while waiting for a green card to be approved. It becomes null and void once you get a green card.

Purchase plane tickets in the name that is on your passport. Those must match. When returning to the US, show your passport, green card and a copy of your marriage certificate to show why your name is different on the green card.
