K-1 Visa and beyond

Hello,

I had a quick question on the K1 to Green Card process. I submitted my petition in January and am waiting for the it to get aproved which should come through any day since its been almost 5 months.

Once she gets the K-1 and comes into the country, I believe we apply for a GC which she is granted for two years.

Lets say she gets the two year GC and then we have to leave the country because of my job on a long term basis, what exactly are our options? If we keep coming to the US once a year, will she still have an issue when applying for a permanent GC after two years? Will it matter if we lived abroad for most of the time she had a temp GC?

Any advice helps.

Thanks,

Shane
