Hi folks, this is my first post.

Just wondering if I can get some response from educated audience here.

I did my bachelors from USA in 2010. My Degree was in Businesss Finance. SO I got the 1 year OPT.

I have used it up for one year. I worked in JPMC for 6 months and now returned to my homeland.

But i was thinking of coming back for MBA.

I want to know -

Will I get another one year OPT card after my master's Degree?

And I also heard that now business graduates can extend their 1 year OPT card to 18 months. If thats true, I can apply for additional 6 months, correct?

Yes, you'll be eligible for another one year OPT once earning your masters degree, but no, business does not qualify for the (17 month) extension given to graduates in the STEM fields.

STEM generally means science, technology, engineering and mathematics. If there is a new rule regarding business graduates i have not heard of it.

The only other extension besides STEM that I can think of for OPT is the cap-gap extension, which is if you have a pending or approved H1-B. I'm not aware of new rules that would extend OPT beyond the STEM degrees.
