hi all,,,

i am in the process of a k1 visa etc etc

our noa2 is not far away at all,,,

i have been researching like crazy as you can imagine and found this site very informative but i would really appreciate some advice or views,,,

i am 42 now and am the uk beneficiary to my usc fiance,,,

back in 1986 when i was 16 at the time i was convicted of trespassing with attempted theft of some goods in the store etc etc,,,

all i got was a compensation and 18months conditional discharge,,,

now i have read many items that CIMT prior to 18 are generally overlooked in regards to k1 visa's

and one CIMT are bypassed etc etc,,,plus it was like 26 years ago to boot!

pretty much every consultation we have had with every immi attorney in the usa has stated it should'nt be an issue,,,

i tried to get steven hellers opinion on it but did'nt find him really helpful and vague and was just interested in telling me his consultation fee before going any further,,,lol

can anyone please with any experience or a good knowledge on this advize me on what my chances are of not needing a waiver for this very minor conviction from so long ago.

kindest regards

mark.

Read about advocator's case. I found an old post where I had put some links to her story.

I didn't go back and read all those threads, but the bottom line was they were approved with no need to file a waiver. Maybe her interview review even tells what happened or hopefully one of those threads.
