I don't think 8 years is a big age gap.

My husband and I are 18 years apart - he's 25 and I'm 43. Don't think it should matter.... at least I hope not!

Hi, we are currently in AP and one of the reason, told to me by friends and Lawyers is the age difference between us. I am older than he is. It was explained to me that although it's not a problem for the guy to be older, it's an issue when the female is older. Do you mind if I ask what is the status of your case? I do hope you are right, age is just a number.

Someone said that an big age gap may slow down processing of K1 by USCIS. I am 53 days out from reciept of RFE and still no word. Most seem to get approved quickly after RFE submission.

Than God, my charming fiance is 26 and old enough to decide for herself but there is a age gap of over 20 years and I wonder if

that may be one reason for the delay.

CFO will ask your parental consent or advice if you are below 25, they will not process your CFO documents if you ca not provide it. They are now strict of that, i spoke one of the officer and true that they will not release the CFO if you can't provide the consent, i had witness that one pinay in the training was below 25 and the guy is 40+ , the CFO need the consent of the parents, if she can't give the consent, they will deny her CFO training.

me and my fiance has 20 years gap at first i didn't know he look so young for his age LOL, you won't really have problem in the interview as long as you provide enough proof of your genuine relationship with your fiance :)

as for CFO, applicants who are age 18 to 21 must have parental consent in writing, those age 21 to 25 must have written parental advice (a written indication that the parents are aware of the couple's intent to marry). The revised Family Code of the Philippines, which took effect on August 4, 1988, prohibits marriage for individuals below the age of 18.

oohhhh thank you so much guys, your such a very good information provider to us, who's always curious about everything about K-1 discussions!!
