My husband has his citizenship interview and test Tuesday of this coming week. He still owes the IRS for Federal Taxes. He made a partial payment April 15th, but now we are waiting for the IRS to send letter so he can send the rest of what he owes. Should he tell the interviewer, if he is asked, that he still owes some? On the application, he marked he did not owe past due taxes. Which technically, it is not past due, they give you 120 days to pay first. Let me know anyone. Thanks

Is this for the 2011 tax year? If yes and given that you are in the process of making arrangements to pay it off you should be fine and you can mention it to the officer if asked. Should not raise a red flag.
