(AP) -- SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Two Texas teachers are on leave after school officials say one ordered more than 20 students to hit a boy accused of being a bully.

Prosecutors in San Antonio are reviewing allegations that the more seasoned of the two Judson Independent School District teachers orchestrated the slugfest hoping to teach the 6-year-old a lesson.

A report from police in the South Texas district said the younger teacher approached her colleague last month seeking suggestions on how to discipline the boy.

That teacher allegedly placed the boy before other kindergartners and told them to "Hit him!" and "Hit him harder!"

The boy's mother filed an official oppression complaint against the teachers with the district police department.

A district spokesman said the teacher who ordered the hitting won't be rehired.

Prosecutors are reviewing whether charges will be filed.
