I am so confused right now....unless it's just my blonde showing through hehe. I was looking on the Mexican consulate site and in the Fiance Visa section it states:

"Once the applicant has all of the necessary documents, he or she may apply at the Immigrant Visa section on any weekday morning (excluding the last Friday of the month and Mexican and American holidays). No appointment is necessary."

Then I looked at all the required docs. for his visa and in the medical exam paper states he needs his appointment letter to be examined.

Does this mean he has to go to Juarez to apply then go back to Juarez for the interview whenever they schedule it?

One of the necessary documents is the "official" letter indicating they have received the paperwork and they are ready for him to come for an interview. This is what both of you will receive in the fiance packet along with the other documents that he needs. The letter is necessary for him to get into the medical clinic and then for him to get into the consulate. They don't schedule interviews. He can go any day between 8-10 am excluding holidays and the last friday of the month. First he'll go to his medical exam. The next day he'll go to the interview.

Oliverio will not need to schedule an appointment to be attended at Ciudad Juarez for the interview or the medical because no appt. are needed for the k1 fiance visa at Juarez. However you guys need to make sure all of the paperwork has arrived at Ciudad Juarez before he goes for any of these things. Also, he will need to present the letter that arrives in the fiance packet to be attended for the medical and interview, so this is the letter you read about. He will need to wait for the letter to arrive in the mail. But I do remember reading about people who didn't wait for the letter to arrive (or the letter got lost in the mail) and then they showed up to the consulate and asked for a duplicate letter by going to a certain window. Also don't forget he will need to submit the paperwork that needs to be submitted for the visa, plus the evidence of ongoing relationship.Hopefully someone else comments about this, preferably someone who has already gone to CDJ.

I wonder if you misinterpreted that required docs letter, maybe they are saying that they need a document verifying that he was at the appointment, along with the Medical document, for the Visa interview? He can probably make an appointment with the doctor and ask the doctor what other people in similar situations do? Can he call the Consulate? Can you email the consulate and ask them this?

All consulates probably have slightly different rules, but hopefully you can get a response from the consulate. Well. good luck.
