I'm about to file my AOS package. Can anyone check my list and give me the thumbs up/down on whether it looks sufficient. Please assume that the forms are filled out correctly.

Just a teeny tiny comment..

For i-130, you only need 1 passport style photo each for the petitioner and beneficiary. (not 2 each)

For i-485 you only need 2 passport sytle photos of the beneficiary (not 4)

Also may I suggest for the i-864 to include proof of sponsor's current employment if you have it & the last few pay stubs?

Otherwise, looks good and very organized :)

I would lose the manila envelopes and just paperclip each form together, and then send in one large envelope. The first thing USCIS will do is take the forms out of the package and put them in the same file (or route the I-131 and I-765 to another center for processing).

This also can avoid certain errors. When you think about it, you're filing I-130 and I-485 concurrently because your I-130 is what entitles you to file I-485, so I wouldn't want them to get inadvertently separated (like if someone at USCIS thinks they're getting 4 separate applications). The same thing for I-131 and I-765.

You'll note that USCIS Lockbox filing tips says to keep applications together with paperclips and doesn't mention separate envelopes:

The I-485 instructions state:

"You must submit two identical color photographs of yourself taken within 30 days of the filing of this application."

As far as the G-325A forms for both the I-130 and the I-485, I'm actually unable to find anything that says the G-325A even needs photos at all, besides this blog post: http://itbreathes.com/?p=52

I just did three separate checks as I treated them as separate applications and fees: one for the I-130, one for the I-485 & one for the Biometrics; but I really don't believe it makes any difference.

I just did three separate checks as I treated them as separate applications and fees: one for the I-130, one for the I-485 & one for the Biometrics; but I really don't believe it makes any difference.

The best way is to send one check for I-485 (including biometrics) and one check for I-130. The reasoning is that if for some reason your I-485 was rejected, they could still process I-130 and cash that check. If they were in the same check, they would have to send everything back to you.

There's not a good reason to divide I-485 fee from biometrics though.

So I'm completely done, everything is one envelope, I just need to hit the post office tomorrow.

One more quick question: Everything I have read says to send via USPS with receipt requested/delivery confirmation. But... I didn't think they could do delivery confirmation to a PO box?

So I'm completely done, everything is one envelope, I just need to hit the post office tomorrow.

One more quick question: Everything I have read says to send via USPS with receipt requested/delivery confirmation. But... I didn't think they could do delivery confirmation to a PO box?

Ok fellow visa journeyers, Help a sister out here please.

Just a quick question to confirm my calculations. I'm sending off my (now) Husband (was K-1 fiance) AOS packages--that is everything that it included in the <http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2> step by step guide. Plus I'm including an I-765 & and I-131 form in there as well. The total should come to....? Approximately $1,870?

$420 for I-130

$1070 for I-485

$380 for I-765
