Are facebook chats are considered by the consul?

Use software like oovoo and take screen shot of you both talking with your PC date/time in the lower right corner. Also oovoo has a good call history that you can take screen shots of also and put in a word document. Take plenty pictures of you and her with family. It is looked at as more genuine. Cards, letters, airline tickets, passport with entry/exit stamps of your visit.

If you use FB as supporting evidence, better be using your real names or she will have to get her NBI clearance with an a.k.a. and additional Cenomars for the other aliases used. If you are not married and filing a K1 petition, do NOT call each other wife or husband, hubby, etc.... It could cause you problems as it may lead the Consular Officer to think maybe you are married and then could be denied.

Okay, thank you for the very informative words from you.Actually we are using our real names in facebook too.I already tell my fiance to collect all the receipts of his phonebills,I usually write letters for him and sending cards too.I am saving all the receipts and I do have like remittances, ahm receipts of the gifts he send to me and many more.

Taje my advice on oovoo with screenshots of both of you talking and the oovoo call history. It is strong evidence.

addition to what they said if you have ever sent her money tell her to bring a copy of the money remittance, shhhhhh but she only take that out once they asked for it, i have over 500 friends(lol friends at usem fan page LOL) that is going tru the same process but 99 percent of them experienced either the CO or the pre-screener asked them about the money remittance receipt and if ever they ask for it she should just give few copies not a lot, it is a strong evidence that you care and willing to take care of her either here or in US, i know some will say NO to what I'm saying here but it is really different here in the Philippines and weird :) but i Love my country. i just notice they don't really look on the chat logs and even the phone calls they always focus on financial docs, pictures of you and with her family how many times you met and how long, about the FB, YM, ooVoo, skype and emails, 3 to 4 copies each month is good, as long as you establish that the communication never stops.

just imagine a friend of mine brought almost 5 inches think of paper with their conversations on it but they didn't even bother to look at it hahahah! but it is better to ready than to be sorry :)

i was just reading this and now i kind of worried because we don't have pictures of me (petitoner) with her parents. and we only meet once but i've known her ever since but we don't have a proof...what can i do?

You will still be okay have other strong evidence listed above. Having pictures of you, her and her family shows that you are accepted into and part of the family. You can still get approved without family pics, but maybe give the other supporting evidnece. Why no pictures with family? Are they to far away? Good luck and relax, you will be okay.

Any non-electronic media that can prove your relationship is real is considered. Anything from Facebook chat logs, to your dog's adoption papers.

lol@dog's adoption papers. Have people really used that? That is funny rofl.gif

The title of this thread asks for examples of "strong evidence" but the initial post only talks about FB. WHAT??? I certainly hope there is a lot more to your relationship than online chat.

If you have time, write actual paper letters to each other. Since this immigration process takes many, many weeks, there is plenty of time for postage delivery. It is cheap and this is one thing that was looked at in the interview for my fiance. (Plus it is very sweet and romantic to send the love of your life something that you actually touched with your hands.) My fiance took with him almost all the cards, postcards, and letters that I'd sent him along with the birthday cards I'd sent to his parents (for good measure). Seeing the notebook with the well-organized documents, photos, and letters, the interviewer didn't bother to check much else. I'd bet that it was clear that we weren't out to waste his time with stacks of repetitive ####### and had everything super easy for him to find. Keeping things simple and easy for the person who has so many people to "process" is probably going to make them feel better about you in general and can work in your favor.

A tip that I read on here that has seems to help tip the scales in the favor of the foreign fiance is to be sure the USC is there and for the foreign fiance to take the passport of the USC with him/her to the interview (if the fiance is not allowed to attend). This is some very distinct evidence of relationship to travel to the country of the loved one and to entrust one's documents with that person.

Good luck.
