Hello everyone , I'm new here!

My husband is a US citizen, filed I-130 in 02 Nov,2011 when I was in the United States as a tourist , I chose to have the interview in the oversea consular in Guangzhou China, and I went back to China on time. the Petition was approved in May 2012,but the USCIS made a mistake that they thought I was still in the States. They let me choose to Change the status or file form I-824 to apply for the Consular Processing. My husband called USCIS, they finally corrected their mistake and will send us a new approval notice.

But the question is they said the case has been forwared to NVC , but please allow 120 days from the relocation date for the NVC Processing Center to take place prior to contacting NVC. What does that mean? Does it mean we have to wait for 120 days to get the NVC case number? But for other people , they only wait a month to get a case number. Does anyone know what happen to my case?

Thanks for help!

You may want to inquire in the China forum about EP (electronic processing) which would speed that up. However, I am not that familiar with the details so it may be too late?

Yes, I think so too, but I have to get the NVC case number first, I hope this won't stuck me for too long.
