So I've lived almost my whole life in the philippines and I just came back here to the states to look for work. I was here June 2010 and I worked from August 2010 to January 2011 I filed my income tax and went back to the philippines. I'm currently back and looking for a job. I want to get my fiance here soon but I didn't file for an income tax this year since I didn't own anything and I don't have a job. So is it necessary to have an ITR? I hope someone can give me some advice.

They gonna ask the proof of income, anything can proof that you can support her.You may need a co-sponsor.

So all I need is a co-sponsor? If I do get one do I still need to include my ITR or not? If any chance I get a job before filling for petition and just submit documents about my income, is it gonna be alright?

You will need a letter of explanation for why you didn't file tax returns for the last 3 years or an income tax return for each of the last 3 years.

Good luck!

Ok, thanks so much for the advice! Another question, if I do meet the income requirement, or exceed the amount needed do I still need a co-sponsor or just a letter explaining why I don't have an ITR? I just want to do it without needing a co-sponsor, if necessary.
