Hi everyone

I was wondering if it was safe to travel with expired GC and AOS letter?

My wife and I plan on going to France for our second wedding with everyone from my French family but we do not want to get called for an interview while we are there or me getting stuck at the US border on our way back.

Yes it is safe. People do it all the time. You can find lots of posts with people's experiences. Good luck.

Thanks. What about the interview? like if they send me a letter asking us to come for one. Will they be OK with us pushing it back?

Make sure you take your NOA1 not anything from AOS.

How long will you be in France? They won't send you a letter with an appointment the next day, you'll be given some advance warning. It shouldn't be an issue unless you will be gone for several weeks. Not sure about changing the date, but I don't see why it couldn't be done.

I applied in March.. and we will be going for maximum 10 days. Yes I'm talking about the extension letter.

Can you get someone to check your mail while you are away? The envelope will have both "Department of Homeland Security" and USCIS on it, so it should be easy to spot!

Yes someone will be able to check everyday. I tried to update my timeline but I'm not sure I did it right!

And the only thing I need is my GC and NOA letter on me and they will let me back in?
