Hi, I have been married for almost 4 years now, and have been a GC holder for 3 years and 3 months. I just sent my N-400 application and very nervous about this!

my mother in law files our taxes for us and all we give her is our w-2 forms and she does the rest, when I requested my tax transcripts to send with my application I noticed she always files as married filing separately, would that be a problem for USCIS? I have no ideia what is the difference and never bother to ask any questions.

and also I sent along with my application a copy of my emergency contact from work which is my husband, tax transcripts and joint bank statements! where we live now everything is included and the rent month by month so we don't have much under our names.and also my monther in law wrote a letter on my behalf and my sister in law; do you think that would be considered not enough evidence of our marriage!what else could I send?

has anybody went through something like that before, please share your experiences!

Thank you!

All I can say is good luck. But now you have to do gather some more proof. Married filing separately is not good, they will ask you(prepare you answer).

Like vacation photos, write down rent agreement as month-month( copy of the rent check ).
