Sure its a crime after all. What does this have to do with the topic again?

Either my English is off, or somthing else's going on here.

The connection was given by the fact that a crime or an illegality cannot be forgiven because it was brought on by a necessity.

Yeah, but the K3 and K4 aren't here. They would have had to been in the country first.

All they've got to do is sneak in and never leave at one point and then the child is the instant 'victim!'

Thank you very much for posting that. That was sort of my hidden point. Anyone that thinks this isn't going to cause more illegal immigration, needs to put down the pipe.

The problem with this legislation is how do you deter future illegals (overstayed on visa/border jumpers) who anticipate a possible dream act? They may need to have it similar to adoption, can't petition for parents/siblings since they were the true law breakers. Or even make it a qualifying requirement to report whoever 'broke the law', deport them and if you're a relative face the ban before parents/siblings can petitioned for. You can't reward bad behaviour, no one will learn.

Really? A murderer's children might end up separated and in foster care. They will lose all their father's support. They are being punished by their parent's crimes, are they not?

There is no reasonable comparison here.

Nobody in that situation would say the children are guilty and should be punished as well. Will they be indirectly impacted negatively? Absolutely.

In the ACTUAL scenerio we're talking about (being brought here illegaly as kids), there are numerous posts in this thread that are shrugging it off and saying the kids broke the law too, so punish them.

I've never heard the term "affirmative action" before. Why?

In the ACTUAL scenerio we're talking about (being brought here illegaly as kids), there are numerous posts in this thread that are shrugging it off and saying the kids broke the law too, so punish them.

As children, they were collateral damage.

As adults, they broke the law and have to suffer the consequences. You know, most of us aren't dealt the greatest hand at birth, it is up to us to raise above that. Ypu can't blame your parents all your life when you have agreed to their choices.

I am still confused as to how they managed to work without an EAD. Surely, that means additional law breaking, no?

I've asked you numerous times what should happen to these people once they turn 21. What if they didn't know they were brought to the US illegally? What if they don't know anyone in their "home country"? What should they do? Who should they go to? What money should be used to send them "home"?

I guess the parents should have thought twice, no? They got them in this mess, it is their responsability to sort it out.
