Haven't you been following the primaries? Romney was far right of Gingrich on immigration alienating an improtant slice of voters in key states. He's gotta find a way back to be palatable with the Latinos and many thought that Sen. Rubio's immigration proposal would be the salvation. Only Rubio's proposal has now effectively been implemented and the only way to support it now is to support Obama's decision to pursue this path. Nice catch 22, isn't it? I have a feeling there will be more of this sort of thing in the weeks and months ahead.

I did but that was then... this is now... I would like to hear what he thinks about it today, for tomorrow, his opinion may be different all over again...

There is a third and winning choice, IMHO. Support the POTUS' on this decision with as they did with Reagan in the 80's. For them to do any differently would only be hypocritical.

Seriously, this is one measure I believe everyone can agree. It doesn't have to be good or bad just because of who came up with it. All they need do in is think of these young men and women who will be able to get their immigration status resolved once and for all.

Republicans have vehemently opposed any and all of their very own policy proposals as soon as Obama took them and put them on the table or just so much as voiced support for them. They've done this starting the day he took office. They feel this helped them win back the House in 2010. They will continue down this path until November. They will not support anything the President proposes or does. Not a thing. Their strategy is clear and team Obama is finding ways to use it against them.

Of course. Mitt has a record of being on every side of every issue. So really, what he says today matters as little as what he said yesterday or what he will say tomorrow. All that matters is which way the wind blows. Get a forecast on that and you can easily deduct Mitt's policy stance of the day from that information.

Hence the term 'Party of NO' when referring to the GOP.

These people were generally the victims of their parents mistakes, seems like a wise decision.

you think? most illegals won't have a verifiable paper trail to prove the length of time inside the US. so, are they going to take their word for it? if not..cheap politial points. if yes..he just opened the flood gates.

So I guess they're going to give them an EAD? What if they want to leave the country and come back? Will they have to apply for AP?

of course not. The law does not apply to future DemocRAT voters.

This just makes my blood boil. It makes a mockery of the entire system.

Honestly, we're all stupid. We did things the legal way. We should have just walked in like everyone else is doing.

So we should punish the people who were brought here illegaly as children? They didn't have a choice.
