Haha.. AOS and IV packages have been ready for 3 weeks already, sitting in their envelopes. My credit card number and expiry date are just waiting to be entered into NVC's payment portal.

Not to rain on your parade but you can't pay with a credit card. The only way to pay online is by electronic check (routing number + account number) from US bank. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3904.html

Can the AOS or IV Application Processing Fee be paid at the US Embassy/Consulate General instead of submitting fees to the NVC?

No, fees must be paid to the NVC using the online Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center. If you are unable to pay online, you must submit a cashier's check or money order to the NVC's St. Louis address.

Can fees be paid through a bank abroad?

No, all payments must be made in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank.

Can fees be paid over the phone?

No, the National Visa Center cannot accept fee payments over the phone.

Can fees be paid with personal check or credit card?

No, the National Visa Center cannot accept personal checks or credit card payments.

I hope so.. my NOA2 is 05/22. I tought that the interview will be in August...

My NOA2 date is May 29th. I'm still counting on a mid-August interview date. It's currently taking on average 4 - 5 weeks from NOA2 to Case number. That'll have you a case number by late June. If you can manage to get through the NVC in two weeks, August isn't a long shot. Do you have everything ready for the AOS and IV packages yet? If so, you should be fine expecting August.

You need your routing number + account number for you debit card (if you have checks on that account, it is written on them) They won't accept card number :)

Thanks. Have my checks right in front of me. But they don't want my money yet.

:ranting:

yeap ! all these documents are prepared. Mid august would be great.. 16th september is our 1st anniversary..

You'll be together by then. Ours is the 9th. If the USCIS managed to send my file to the NVC and not the NRC, I'm confident we'll be together by then too!

yeahhh ! we got case # !! after 7 business days

We probably got our case number at the same day.

However,my"stupid" husband told me wrong case number. :bonk:

(actually, I heard he did double with NVC operator)

And yesterday when I had my case number,I sent DS3032 right away via email.

Meantime,I couldn't sign into the payment portal system.

Today morning, I received a reply from NVC (I did an inquiry for asking my case no. 1 week ago) The email is the below:

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: SYDxxxxxxxxxx filed by xxx on behalf of xxx.

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

IMPORTANT:

Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

The NVC case number is listed below.

Case Number: SYDxxxxxxxxxx

Petitioner's Name: xxx

Principal Applicant's Name: xxx

Preference Category: xxx

Your Priority Date: xxx

Foreign State Chargeability: xxx

U.S. CONSULATE GENERAL

MLC CENTRE, LEVEL 59

19-29 MARTIN PLACE

SYDNEY, NSW 2000, AUSTRALIA

So, it just told us our case number?

nothing else? Because case number was SYDQxxxx, now is SYDxxx

And today when I used correct case number, I could get in the payment portal

I saw AOS column was nothing and IV bill was written my name not invoiced yet

I resent DS3032 because I thought the first one was not right.

Would it bring any effect?
